ବାଧାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ମୈଥୁନ (ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ Coitus interruptus), ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାହାର ପଦ୍ଧତି ମଧ୍ୟ କୁହାଯାଏ, ହେଉଛି ଏକ ପ୍ରକାର ଜନ୍ମ ନିରୋଧ ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ବୀର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସ୍ଖଳନ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଲିଙ୍ଗକୁ ଯୋନୀ ଭିତରୁ ବାହାର କରିଦିଆଯାଏ ।^[୧] ^[୨] ଏକ ବର୍ଷ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏହି ପଦ୍ଧତି ଯୋଗୁ ମାତ୍ର ୨୦% କ୍ଷେତ୍ରରେ ଗର୍ଭଧାରଣ ଘଟିଥାଏ, ଏବଂ ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ ବ୍ୟବହାର ହୋଇପାରିଲେ ଏହା ମାତ୍ର ୪% ହୋଇଥାଏ ।^[୨] ଏହା ଅନ୍ୟ ପଦ୍ଧତି ସହିତ ଏକତ୍ର ବ୍ୟବହୃତ ହୋଇପାରେ ଯେପରିକି କଣ୍ଡୋମ, ଜନ୍ମ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ ବଟିକା କିମ୍ବା ଜରୁରୀକାଳୀନ ଜନ୍ମ ନିୟନ୍ତ୍ରଣ ।^[୨]

ଏହାର କୌଣସି ପାର୍ଶ୍ୱ ପ୍ରତିକ୍ରିୟା ନଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଯୌନ ସଂକ୍ରମଣରୁ (STI) ରକ୍ଷା ହୁଏ ନାହିଁ; ଯଦିଓ ମହିଳାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏଚଆଇଭି/ଏଡସ ସଙ୍କଟ କମ ରହେ ।^[୨] ଏହି ପ୍ରଥାରେ ଡିଣ୍ଡାଣୁ ଓ ଶୁକ୍ରାଣୁ ଭେଟ ସୁଯୋଗ ହ୍ରାସ ହୋଇ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷମ ହୁଏ ।^[୨] ବିଫଳତା ହୋଇପାରେ ଯଦି ସ୍ଖଳନ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଡିଣ୍ଡାଣୁ ଓ ମିଳନ ହୋଇଯାଏ କିମ୍ବା ଜଣେ ସାଥୀ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାହାରକୁ ରୋକିଦିଏ ।^[୨] କେତେକ ମଧ୍ୟ ସ୍ଖଳନ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଲିଙ୍ଗକୁ ନିର୍ଭରଯୋଗ୍ୟ ଭାବରେ ଅପସାରଣ କରିବାରେ ସକ୍ଷମ ହୋଇ ପାରନ୍ତିନି ।^[୨]

ଏହି ପଦ୍ଧତିକୁ ଦୁଇ ତୃତୀୟାଂଶ ମହିଳା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଛନ୍ତି ଯେଉଁମାନେ ଯୌନ ସମ୍ପର୍କ ରଖୁଛନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଯୁକ୍ତରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୭% ମହିଳା ଏହା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଛନ୍ତି ।^[୨] ୧୯୮୦ରୁ ୨୦୧୦ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଏହାର ବ୍ୟବହାର ହାର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଛି ଏବଂ ସାଧାରଣତ ୨୦ ଦଶକର ମହିଳାମାନେ ଏହା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରୁଛନ୍ତି ।^[୨] ୧୯୯୧ ମସିହାରେ ବିଶ୍ୱର ପ୍ରାୟ ୩୮ ନିୟୁତ ମହିଳା ଏହାକୁ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରିଛନ୍ତି ।^[୧] ଇତିହାସ ସାରା ଏହି ଅଭ୍ୟାସ କରାଯାଉଥିବା ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରାଯାଏ ।^[୨] ଏହାର କୌଣସି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ନାହିଁ ।^[୪]
